Recognition for Volunteers


 

Region Field Day at RAF Wittering was the opportunity used by the Region’s Commandant, Group Captain Nigel Gorman, to thank all the assembled staff and also make some presentations that recognised the volunteers hard work and commitment.

Simon Getley recieves his CAS’s Commendation

Mr Simon Getley, the retired Region Warrant Officer received the Chief of the Air Staffs Commendation in recognition of his work with the Region’s Senior Non Commissioned Officer cadre.

Warrant Officer Dan Haywood, the current Region Warrant Officer and Squadron Leader Ade Utting were presented with the Deputy Commanders Team Commendation for their part played in the running of the 75th Anniversary Drill and

Ceremonial Camp.

As a mark of all his years spent within the RAF Air cadets, Wing Commander Miller, Officer Commanding Norfolk and Suffolk Wing, was awarded the Fourth Clasp to his Cadet Forces Medal.

A Defence Council Letter of Appreciation was earned by Squadron Leader Paul James and to round off the presentations, Squadron Leader Al Munns was presented with Commandant Air Cadets Certificate for Meritorious Service.
