This weekend saw Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire Wing compete in various competitions at the Central & East Region Field Day. Events included: aircraft recognition, foot and banner drill, media competitions and band.
The Wing band put on an excellent performance despite having only a few practice sessions resulting in being placed second overall in the region.
10F (Luton Airport) Squadron performed two pieces in the ensemble competition also resulting in an excellent second place finish.
The young adult first aid team from 2331 (St Ives) Squadron also enjoyed a second place finish, meaning they will proceed to the Corps competition later in the year.
The biggest success for the Wing however came in the form of first place in media output!
Although not all teams managed to place, Wing Commander Tony Kelly, Officer Commanding the Wing, said “You can all leave this weekend with your heads held high”.
Good luck to the young adult first aid team later in the year!
