Recently, fourteen Air Cadets from 1109 (Thetford) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, visited Duxford Imperial War Museum.
The cadets, many of which joined the squadron in November 2016 enjoyed a day out at the museum looking in the various military exhibits and new refurbished hangers.
The exhibitions include the ‘American Air Museum’, ‘Battle of Britain’, Air and Sea’ and ‘Land Warfare’ to name a few. The cadets also had the chance to watch conservation projects in action, projects which will form part of the museum in the coming years.
The Squadron often arranges day trips during the school holidays to give cadets the opportunity to visit local attractions relevant to the aviation industry and military life.
