This year’s Youth Aviation Day is set to take place on Sunday 12 June and is hotly anticipated to be a spectacular day of flying and adventure.
Squadrons are being encouraged to attend the National event, taking place at Husbands Bosworth Airfield in Leicestershire, and give their cadets the opportunity to learn more about aviation.
Youth Aviation Day will give cadets the opportunity to see an impressive flypast, take a close look at static aircraft displays and speak to pilots and operators to gain a real understanding of the aviation career opportunities available to them.

The day is packed full of fun and will also give young visitors the chance to operate simulators, chat to recruiters, view model aircraft and inspect military vehicles.
Youth Aviation Day is not an air show or public event so gives cadets a really privileged opportunity to get up close to all things aerial.
RAF Air Cadets coordinator for the event, Squadron Leader Matt Smith, said: “The Youth Aviation Day is a fantastic opportunity to encourage young people to consider aviation as a career path, and a great day out to experience the activities and displays that are planned.
“We hope that Air Cadets and Squadrons will be able to attend in large numbers this year and look forward to meeting many of them on the day.”
Entry to the event is open with a £1.00 minimum donation going to the Help for Heroes and Air Ambulance charities.
There is the opportunity for Squadrons to camp overnight on Saturday 11 June.
