The current situation should not stop cadets working towards the gaining of qualification and this week the Pre-Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is being catered for.
This Blue Badge Award can be completed by cadets not yet old enough to commence the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award journey with their Bronze Award.
Like the other DofE Levels, the Blue Badge Award is split into four sections; Volunteering, Skill, Physical and Expedition. These sections are detailed and recorded within the Cadet’s Blue Badge Book.
To assist in gaining the award during “Lockdown” Headquarters Air Cadets Subject Matter Experts have produced “How to Guide #7” which details how you can work towards this award at home. The “How to Guide #7” for cadets and staff and a Pre-DofE Blue Award Remote Activity Guide along with Physical Section Fitness Cards are available on the Air Cadet Website, Hanger and Resources.
Cadets are advised to keep the squadron DofE Officer informed of progress and to ask any questions related to the Award.
