On its meeting on the evening of 16th May the King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council held its annual ceremony to appoint the Mayor of the Borough for the next twelve months. Retiring Mayor Nick Daubney handed the chain of office to newly elected Mayor Councillor Geoff Hipperson.
Also appointed at the same ceremony were the Mayor’s Cadets. Honoured to be representing the Air Cadet’s was 42F (King’s Lynn) Squadron’s Cadet Corporal Bailey Naish.
Having received his personal badge of office, which will be worn on a brassard on his left arm, Bailey said that he was “thrilled” that he had been chosen by his squadron to represent the ATC at formal civic functions at which he will now be accompanying the Mayor.
