Sandy Air Cadets Staggered by the Co-op’s Generosity

22 (Sandy) Squadron have recently received a staggering £12,435.23 through the Co-op Local Community Fund toward the Squadron’s flight simulator project.

The Co-op Local Community Fund raises money for local projects through their Co-op members and money raised from shopping bags sales, with the Squadron being supported by the three Co-op stores and their members in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

The funding will be used towards building a pair of virtual reality flight simulators, which will provide an immersive flying experience, as well as complement classroom based learning, such as principles of flight.
Civilian Instructor Jeffrey Henshaw commented “We’re all really excited to get started with the flight simulator, which will vastly improve and expand the aviation training we can provide”.

We would like to thank the Co-op and their members for helping support the Squadron with our flight simulator project.
