Honours for Central & East Officers

Some of the volunteers from Central and East Region have had their valuable work recognised in the New Years Honours List recently announced.

For his exceptional work in his role as a Wing Staff Officer for Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing, Squadron Leader Robert Foster RAFAC has been awarded the Deputy Commanders Commendation, one of the three that have been awarded across the whole of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

Air Officer Commanding 22 Group has awarded his Commendation to the Region’s First Aid Officer, Squadron Leader Carol Haynes RAFAC and to three Wing Staff Officers of Trent Wing, Squadron Leaders RAFAC Rachel Needham, Charles Skiera and Daniel Withnall all of whom have worked tirelessly and given freely of their time to ensure the cadets gain the maximum from the Cadet Experience.

Although we congratulate those who have been recognised by the wider Royal Air Force, we must not forget all those volunteers within this organisation who, almost daily, selflessly offer their services and time to the furtherance of the RAF Air Cadets aims and values.
