Penn Pulls Together for RAF100!

A team of 9 RAF Air Cadets from 871 (Penn) Squadron competed in the RAF100 Tug of War competition, at RAF High Wycombe.
In the year that both the RAF and the RAF Tug of War team turn 100 years old, the Cadet forces were invited to take part in this special RAF100 competition.
Teams from the Army Cadet Force and the Sea Cadet Corps joined RAF Air Cadets from Penn and were introduced to the sport with a safety brief and the issue of their safety equipment.
The main competition got underway, allowing the Cadets to observe techniques and come up with their own tactics, whilst also being lucky enough to chat with the coach for the RAF Tug of War team.
Sadly, the RAF Air Cadet team were runners up and although each participant was awarded with an RAF100 competitor medal, the Army Cadet Force were presented with the Tug of War winners’ cup.
