Six Air Cadets from 1360 Squadron have been out in the rain and cold recently, representing South and East Midlands Wing in the 2017 Inter-Wing Cross Country Championships at RAF College Cranwell.
Starting with a quick team brief from the Wing Sports Officer, wishing everyone the best of luck out on the course. The First race got under way just as the rain fell with the second and third not far behind. A brutal course, steep hills, muddy fields and running through the forest all in the aim of bringing Silverware home.
Final Parade approached, the wing was confident of getting good results and that proved to be the case. All six Cadets came back with medals, winning three out of the five categories and coming third in the other two. However, the Wing was beaten to the top spot for the overall trophy by one point but still a very impressive second place.
Well done to those who competed.
