Today saw Cadets from Squadrons (Sqns) all over Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing compete in the annual Regional Field Day competition at RAF Halton.
Competitions during the day included shooting, media, aircraft recognition, ensemble and more.
Highlights for Beds and Cambs Wing included 2331 (St Ives) Sqn coming Second in the drill competition led by Cadet Fligh Sergeant Honeywood, the Wing team for shooting placing second, and the ensemble team of 1985 (Flitwick) and 104 (City of Cambridge) led by Cadet Warrant Officer Wolfe also took second.
Flying Officer Bradshaw from 2331 Sqn collected the young adults first aid trophy on behalf of herself and Cadet Fligh Sergeant Avery from 1406 (Spalding) Sqn that they won last week.
The combined efforts of all the Cadets who attended, resulted in the Wing placing second out of six in the overall competition. A fantastic effort from all those involved. We wish the First aid team luck as they prepare for the Corps competition.
