On Monday 25th April, Cadet Warrant Officer Damien Simpson attended Scropton Riding & Driving Centre for the disabled as they were celebrating their 50-year jubilee anniversary along with a special guest HRH Princess Anne.
Scropton Riding & Driving Centre is the home of Scropton Riding for the Disabled, one of a small number of purpose built Riding for the Disabled Centres. They are open 7 days a week and offer riding and driving lessons to over 200 disabled people of widely varying ages and disabilities. Scropton Riding for the Disabled Centre is a registered Charity supported by enthusiastic volunteers and fund-raisers.
CWO Damien Simpson attended this event because the Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire was accompanying HRH The Princess Royal on this special occasion. He was also gifted with his own ribbon which signified this event.
