Cadets Fundraising Success

Grimsby RAF Air Cadets are this weekend celebrating after raising £1100 at their bi-annual bag pack fundraiser last week.
The cadets, from 195 (Grimsby) Squadron, which celebrated its 75th birthday in February, completed a day of bag packing at Morrison’s supermarket, Cleethorpes, on Good Friday.
Flight Lieutenant Terance Shird, Officer Commanding 195 Squadron, said: “The cadets and staff that volunteered for the day have done a fantastic job.
“The money raised today will go towards the fund for our new Squadron minibus, which will help with taking cadets to and from some of the wonderful activities they get up to throughout the year.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the manager and staff working at Morrisons, Cleethorpes, for being so friendly and accommodating. Without their help and the publics generosity, this bag pack wouldn’t have been such a success.”
