42f BTEC

February saw three Air Cadet members of 42F (King’s Lynn) Squadron gain a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Studies. Cadet Sergeant Thomas Richardson, (18), and Cadet Corporals Elliot Simpson (16) and Gabrielis Kisielis (16) were awarded their diplomas after completing a number of academic subjects that included Map Reading, Pilot Navigation, Radio Communications, and Principles of Flight & Aircraft Handling.

The level 2 Diploma is equivalent to four GCSE’s at grades A* to C and a valuable addition to a young person’s academic portfolio when applying for a place at university or submitting their CV to prospective employers.

Flight Lieutenant Pauline Petch, Commanding Office of the King’s Lynn Squadron said “I am very pleased to be able to present these certificates. It is testament to the drive and commitment of these three young men in not only gaining these diplomas, but in every activity they undertake. Well done”.
