Matthew Carrington Receives Fully Deserved Promotion


 

121_IMG_6586Nuneaton Teenager, Matthew Carrington has reached new heights in his Royal Air Force Air Cadet career, having been promoted to the organisations most senior cadet rank of Cadet Warrant Officer.

Matthew who joined 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron Air Training Corps at the age of thirteen, has successfully progressed through the cadet ranks and now joins the list of the privileged few that have held the highest possible Air Cadet rank.

On presenting Cadet Warrant Officer Matthew Carrington with his new rank slides, Officer Commanding 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks said, “Matthew Carrington has shown consistent determination to achieve his individual goals and has always supported his Squadron in all of its activities. I am pleased to say that Matthew has truly demonstrated that he is an outstanding example to other young people within our Squadron and the community as a whole. Matthew has most certainly demonstrated his total commitment to one of the most important aims of the Air Cadet Organisation throughout his cadet career, namely, ‘To foster and develop the qualities of leadership and citizenship’ and I am delighted to see him promoted to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer.”

“Having reached the top of the cadet rank structure, it’s not the end of the line for Matthew, far from it. As the Squadron’s Cadet Warrant Officer, Matthew will be expected to take on additional responsibilities and assist the adult staff with the day to day running of the Squadron.”
