Long Eaton Air Cadets is very pleased to welcome five new fully enrolled cadets onto the squadron: Alfie Wilson, Charlie Needham, William Moss and Alfie Hadfield.
Throughout the past few months they have been learning drill, basic first aid, and uniform care and also have been taught lessons about the Royal Air Force and the Air Training Corps. Prior to enrolling, the cadets had to fill in part of their First Class booklet as part of becoming a junior cadet.
They were all nervous yet excited to be fully enrolled onto the squadron and they had been taught how to receive their 3822 Record of Service beforehand.
Parents of the cadets were in attendance to watch their child enrol onto the squadron, as well as representatives from the Royal British Legion, Long Eaton Branch, who commented “we always enjoy seeing the high standards this squadron has and to see the next generation of Long Eaton Air Cadets” .
Cadet Wilson said it “was a nerve-racking experience but a proud moment as it is the start to my Air Cadet Career and future.”
