Estate Agents brings Tech Upgrade to Local Cadets

Estate Agents Martin Maslin have helped local Air Cadets to upgrade their computer systems.
Martin Maslins, based on Abbey Walk, Grimsby, donated a number of computers and IT equipment to 195 (Grimsby) Squadron to enable the cadets to develop their computer network.
195 Squadron Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Terance Shird said: “We are very grateful to Martin Maslins – they have helped us incredibly.
“Our cadets undertake exams to get some of their cadet qualifications, and in recent year those exams have been moved online. However a lack of sufficient IT equipment & infrastructure has meant that we have had to limit or space out the amount of cadets taking exams.
“Now however, with the addition of these computers, more cadets can sit their exams and gain their badges.”
John Hudson, Senior Partner at Martin Maslin, and Non-Executive Partner, Lynn Hudson, said: “We were having a tech upgrade at the office and were left with some PCs of varying age. Our daughter is an Officer at 195 Squadron, following time spent as a cadet, and she suggested that we donate the equipment to 195. “Having seen first-hand how much the squadron can help develop young people, we were more than happy to do so.”
Flt Lt Shird added: “We are very fortunate to have received this donation. Many businesses when upgrading their IT end up with surplus equipment and end up throwing it out, not realising that local groups can benefit. Our cadets are very grateful to Lynn & John, and all the team at Martin Maslin.”
