Cadet Sergeant Mitchell Plumpton of 1109 (Thetford) Squadron captained the Central and East Region Football Team to success on Sunday 22nd November at RAF Wyton.
Mitchell, 16, who has represented the Region at junior football for the second year running was selected following successful trials on Sunday 31st October.
Sergeant Plumpton captained the team for the first time and produced excellent performances in Central and East’s victories against Wales & West and North Region, and a draw against Scotland & Northern Ireland
Mitchell is a keen footballer having played from a very young age and was pivotal in 1109’s six aside football success earlier this year. As well as this, he will be assisting with the coaching of Norfolk and Suffolk Wing’s first girls’ football team on Sunday 29th November, showing his keenness to encourage and develop others football skills.
