‘1109 compete in the Blue Bull Challenge’

On the 4th October 2015 four cadets from 1109 (Thetford) Squadron participated in the ‘Blue Bull Challenge’ at RAF Marham, organised by the stations Air Cadet Liaison Officer. Cadet Sergeant Kathryn Towell, Cadet Corporal Bradley Hammond and Cadets Aaron Bedford and Ben Stevenson competed in a series of activities and tests against fellow squadrons. These included Leadership exercises by the Fire Section, First Aid scenarios, Weapons stripping and assembling, Orienteering, Aircraft Recognition and Observation Challenges.
The Blue Bull Challenge is a military skills competition open to squadrons within Norfolk and Suffolk Wing, giving cadets the chance to compete against their peers whilst gaining new skills themselves. 1109 squadron were placed 3rd out of all the teams taking part which is an outstanding achievement and something the cadets can be really proud of!
Sergeant David Towell said, ‘the event was really enjoyable and it was fantastic the team from 1109 done so well. I would like to thank the ACLO for organising this competition’.
