Cadets and staff at 378 (Mannock) Squadron in Wellingborough are celebrating the recent appointment of a new Officer in Charge

Flying Officer Phil Warr, 33, from Wellingborough, joined the unit this week after transferring from 858(Rushden) Squadron where he has spent the last year as second in command.

Phil has been part of the Air Training Corps (ATC) since 2004 and is no stranger to Mannock Squadron having spent over a decade there as a volunteer, prior to his work at Rushden.

Phil said: “The RAF Air Cadets is a marvellous organisation that I have had the honour to be part of for some years as a volunteer, and as a cadet before that. I am excited to be returning to Mannock Squadron and lead the great team of volunteers we have here, that do so much for the young people in Wellingborough.”
