With figures just released, last year’s tally of Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards within Central & East Region were the best in the whole Corps.
A total of 770 Awards were made across the Region, the greatest total for seven years, which made Central & East the most successful Region at DofE.
“This tremendous result is down to the hard work and dedication of the squadron and wing staffs ensuring all was in place for the safe delivery of the Award and, of course, to the cadets (and some younger staff members) for their endeavours, endurance and enthusiasm in gaining the awards”said Squadron Leader Colin Armstrong RAFAC, the Region DofE Officer.
The break down was: 574 Bronze Awards, 153 Silver Awards and a fantastic 43 Gold Awards.
