Late Christmas Present for Jack

On a recent parade night Instructor Cadet Sargeant Jack White received a late Christmas present in the form of his eagerly awaited certificate for gaining his Level 2 BTEC in Aviation Studies.

Cadet Sgt White, an enthusiastic member of 42F (King’s Lynn) Squadron, of the RAF Air Cadets was awarded his Level 2 BTEC for his studies into numerous modules that range from airmanship and airframes to map reading and satellite communications, subjects which take up the bulk of a cadet’s academic training in the Air Training Corps
. Successfully completing these studies has enabled him to obtain his Master Cadet status and ensured the awarding of this highly prized qualification.

BTEC qualifications help boost the students’ career prospects by giving them the skills, knowledge and understanding that employers look for. The BTEC Diploma in Aviation Studies is equivalent to 2 GCSEs, A-C grades.

Jack was presented with his certificate, to the applause of the squadron’s cadets, by Adult Staff member Sergeant Alex Stapleton.
