Central and East Region have again grounds for celebration with the Region’s Senior Ruby Team being crowned Corps Champions. The same day 
also the Region’s ladies secure a commendable third in their national Netball Competition.
The Senior Rugby Team fought hard throughout the tournament and became the Tournament outright champions without conceding a single point all day!! A marvellous achievement.
The team was coached and led by Flying Officer Alex Duncan who produced some magical rugby considering it was his first time in charge of the Region Squad – setting the bar high on the opening occasion.
“For a team gathered from across the 6 Wings and who have only had one singular training session together, it was a joy to watch how quickly they bonded and worked as a team – a single unit” said the Region’s Sports Officer, Squadron Leader Steve Riggs.
