Cadets Receive Donation From Local Race Directors

Local race directors Tape to Tape have donated £200 to the Grimsby RAF Air Cadets this week following the Great Grimsby 10k earlier in the year.

195 DonationThe cadets of 195 (Grimsby) Squadron helped support the race this year and in 2016 when the race was first held, marshalling the course and handing out water to runners.

After presenting the cadets with the cheque, Nicola Pattison of Tape to Tape said: “I’d like to thank the cadets and staff for their support in some of our great local events.

“We like to get community groups involved and work with them to make our events a success. If anybody would like to get involved in our races as part of the race crew, they can email info@tapetotape.co.uk for more information. We’re always looking for volunteers.

“Without the support of our volunteers, the events we hold wouldn’t be such a great success. The races we organise are all about creating opportunities for people to participate in and become part of the team.”

Civilian Instructor Karl Horner, Events Officer at 195 Squadron, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Nicola and Tape to Tape for this very generous donation and would like to thank them.”

“Our cadets and staff have had great fun supporting the Tape to Tape events.

“This money will help buy some instruments and equipment for our new band. A lot of our cadets have never played an instrument before, so this donation will help to keep the opportunity open for future cadets.”
