195 (Grimsby) Squadron, RAF Air Cadets, last week bid goodbye to one of their most senior cadets.
Cadet Warrant Officer Ben Cowan, aged 20, recently ‘aged out’ of the RAF Air Cadets, leaving behind a cadet career spanning over 6 years.
Ben has experienced the full spectrum of activities that the organisation has to offer, from leadership training through to camps, flying, target shooting and sports.
Flight Lieutenant Terance Shird RAF VR(T), Officer Commanding 195 Squadron, said: “Ben has been a fantastic cadet, competing and getting involved in everything at all levels.
“Since becoming Cadet Warrant Officer, he has lead from the front and set the example.
“We hope that he will return as an adult volunteer in the near future, and wish him well in his future career.”
Cadet Warrant Officer Ben Cowan said: “It’s a very emotional experience leaving an organisation you’ve been a part of for so long.
“I’ve gained so much from the Air Cadets, and I’ve had some amazing experiences.”
