The Beginning of Cadets


Twelve new budding air cadets have successfully enrolled onto 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron, Air Training Corps.

For the past four months they have been learning, completing and achieving parts of drill and the first class cadet book. All of “T” flight has completed parts of pass level but some have also done merit level! All the cadets in “T” flight have developed key skills such as: leadership, team working and adaptability.
This is what “T” flight have been achieving in order to complete pass level: the Air Training Corps, the Royal Air Force, history of flight, fundamental principles of airmanship, map reading, initial expedition training and basic radio communications. The new enrolled cadets have the opportunity to do numerous activities now, offered by the Squadron and Air Cadets.
Tuesday 5th April was their night, to shine and show their parents the skills they have learned. The cadets went through the first step for enrolling on to the Squadron – The Cadet Promise. This is where the new cadets and enrolled cadets, pledge their allegiance to the Air Training Corps, to the community and the country.
