This beautifully picturesque photograph was taken by Flight Lieutenant Paula Houghton, Officer Commanding 1331(Stowmarket) Squadron, Air Cadets, at a touch rugby training session.
The squadron are currently training hard in preparation for this year’s Wingfield event, which will take place throughout Summer.
The event covers a variety of challenges including First Aid, sporting events such as netball, touch rugby and swimming, it also involves problem solving and orienteering. The squadrons from each Wing compete against each other to be crowned the overall winner of Wingfield.
Training starts months in advance of the events and a selection weekend will be held on 22nd-24th April, where cadets will be put through their paces and will find out if they have made the final team for their chosen area of expertise!
