1331 Stowmarket Squadron Staff Complete Pre- Uniform Course!

Four Civilian Instructors(CIs) from 1331 (Stowmarket) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, have completed their Pre-Uniform Course and are now ready to start preparing to become uniformed staff!

CI’s Sarah Thomas, Debbie Allum, Johnathan Le-Pine and Andreas Dracocardos travelled to RAF Wyton on Friday 12th February for the two day event which is aimed at those wanting to progress into uniformed posts.

The course includes preparation for interviews, an insight into what is expected of staff at the Adult Training Facility (ATF) at RAF Cranwell and the responsibilities of a uniformed member of staff.

In total, over the past six months, six members of staff have completed the course, which is a fabulous example of the commitment and drive amongst the squadron.

C.I Thomas said “I had a really great weekend, really informative. It was also good to meet some senior staff”
The next step is to implement those skills learnt on the course and also to start to prepare for their Board Interview.
“I’d recommend this course for anyone, even if they’re not going into uniform. It was also great for networking!” said C.I Le- Pine.
