Staff and cadets from 1109 (Thetford) Squadron enjoyed a day of activities at the ‘Outdoor Experience Centre’ in Mattishall on Sunday.
The site is based on the grounds of Poultec Training near Dereham and cadets took part in high ropes, segways, climbing and team building activities. The activities were led by qualified instructors from the centre who ensured the cadets had a fantastic day!
Despite the windy conditions the cadets made their way round the high ropes course which finished with a very long and fast zip wire back to the ground. This course was a challenge for some as it was their first experience of high ropes, but they were thoroughly pleased they made it round.
The Segways were also a first experience for many and the cadets couldn’t get enough of them! The course was grass and slightly wet which meant the experience was challenging but very enjoyable.
We would like to thank the instructors and staff at Poultec Training for an excellent day and the Squadron will definitely be returning!
