Between the 16th and 18th October 2015 Cadet Philippa Saint of 1109 (Thetford) Squadron was selected to take part in a two day performance at Heathrow Airport for Dreamflight.
This is a registered charity which gives young people between the ages of 8 – 14 with disabilities the chance to go on a holiday of a once in a lifetime trip to Orlando in Florida.
The cadets selected for this performance attended the National Band Camp in the summer and Philippa was listed as one of the clarinettists. They performed on the Saturday evening and the children’s disco and also on the Sunday morning before they boarded their plane to Florida.
Philippa, a keen musician, is a member of a number of musical groups outside of the ACO, as well as the Wing and National Bands within the organisation. She is taking advantage of the many musical opportunities which is fantastic to see.
