Wing Drill Competition Showcases the Best


188 (Ipswich) Squadron drill team has marched to success in the Norfolk and Suffolk Wing annual drill competition beating 28 other squadrons for the 4th year running in the Wing Drill Final.

59 (Beccles) Squadron won the Drill Inspection and were runner up in the drill final. 432 (Woodbridge) took home the trophy for best Banner Drill, and Cpl Walkinshaw from 188 (Ipswich) also won the Best Drill NCO trophy following in the footsteps of Ipswich’s Sgt Ben Bolger and CWO Laura Woolfenden from the previous two years.
Wing Warrant Officer, Treror Bailey said “All the cadets did their squadron and themselves proud showing pride and effort in to their uniform and drill. The standard of drill and uniform across the Wing continues to improve year on year and the scores for the heats and final were closer than ever. Perfect timing for next years 75th Anniversary parades!”
