Armed Forces Day takes place on Saturday 27th June with special events held all over the country to celebrate and commemorate the armed forces.

The predicted heavy rain thankfully stayed away while the last post was played and banners from organisations across the area dipped, and by the time the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire had raised the flag the sun had broken through.

“This is the second time I’ve attended the flag raising for Armed Forces day” explained Sgt Lee “I enjoy that it’s an upbeat celebration, being positive and proud of our forces.”
