On Saturday 15th May, eight cadets from 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron, went to Long Eaton town centre to sell cakes to raise funds for for Help for Heroes.
Cadet Corporal Catherine McHale, Emi Ephraim and James Bland with Cadet Kira Beadle, Lucy Scott, Mia Pickford, Joan Fowodo and Adrian Poole joined with Long Eaton Army Cadet Force (ACF) and Draycott ACF and managed to raise almost £500 for the charity.
Corporal McHale said “It was a very nice day worth going to. It was fun getting to know some of the army cadets and our own cadets better. It was a really enjoyable morning I hope to do a similar event with both army and air cadets again”.
Overall the day was a great success and the total from cake sales and donations came to £488.90.
