Cadet Warrant Officer Megan Grant has been named as the Regional Representative for the prestigious Dacre Brooch Award, a search for the UK’s Top female cadet in the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.
CWO Grant is the senior cadet on 2418 (Sherwood) Squadron. She has worked hard throughout her cadet career and is currently the Lord Lieutenants cadet for Nottinghamshire, supporting Sir John Peace.
During her cadet career she was awarded with a place to represent the Air Training Corps on the International Air Cadet Exchange to Ghana in 2013 which she thoroughly enjoyed. She has achieved excellent results throughout the Air Cadet academic paths gaining a BTEC in aviation studies and a BTEC in public services. She has also completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh award and following that went on to complete her Basic Expedition Leader award to pass her knowledge on to younger generations.
Having been on various cadet camps including taking on the position of Cadet Liaison at the South and East Midlands Wing’s spring camp, Swynnerton. She was also one of two cadets selected to take part in the National Armed Forces Day opening ceremony in 2013.
