Sandy Cadets Do the Easter Packing

Photo 1 (9)Air Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron recently spent a day of the Easter holiday packing bags at their local Tesco supermarket in Sandy, raising over £460 for the Squadron funds.

The cadets worked hard throughout the day, helping customers in the store to pack their bags, in order to raise squadron funds for new training equipment, as well as raising awareness about the Air Cadets, and in recruiting new cadets and adult volunteers.

Flight Lieutenant Brian Storey RAFVR(T), Squadron Officer Commanding, commented “The day has been great for the Squadron, not only in raising funds, but importantly in raising the Squadron’s profile in the community. It’s been fantastic to hear members of the public praising what the cadets are doing”.

Many thanks to Tesco in Sandy, for supporting the Squadron, and to the kind generosity of the public for their much appreciated donations. The funds will now go a long way to helping fund equipment and activities the squadron have planned this year.
