’1109 Cadet Represents the ACO in the National Marching Band’

During the week of the 2nd – 9th April, Cadet Philippa Saint of 1109 (Thetford) Squadron visited RAF Halton as part of the National Marching Band for the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO). Following over four days of rehearsals, Cadet Saint and the other 82 cadets attending the camp visited The Royal Albert Hall to watch the Mount Batten Festival of Music performed by The Royal Marine Band Service.

Cadet Saint said, “it was a fantastic evening and it was a delight to watch the cadets as they really enjoyed it.”
The cadets were also given an opportunity to perform in front of parents and staff on the Henderson Drill Square at RAF Halton. This occasion allowed them to perform on a formal scale, giving all those watching an insight into the work involved within the National Marching Band of the ACO, of which Cadet Saint is proud to be a part of.

A 15 minute video of extracts of the performance at RAF Halton is
