Monday 14th March 2016 saw Cadet Flight Sergeant Georgia Brinkley of 1109 (Thetford) Squadron attend her first Civic Event as one of Thetford Town Council’s Mayors Cadet.
Commonwealth Day is an annual celebration of the Commonwealth Nations, observed by countries including the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. This was a Fly the Flag ceremony where FS Brinkley raised the Commonwealth Flag in the town centre with the Mayor and other local dignitaries present.
Georgia was honoured to raise the flag and looks forward to her next Civic Event in the coming weeks
