The headquarters of King’s Lynn’s 42F Squadron Air Cadets was the venue on Thursday 3rd March when four charities received donations from the town’s highly successful Spitfire Trail of 2015.

Following the conclusion of the trail the models were auctioned off at the Town Hall in December raising £3,000 for charity. The charities benefiting are The Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA), The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), Walking With the Wounded, and 42F (King’s Lynn) Squadron.

The Spitfire Trail’s driving force, Flight Lieutenant Pauline Petch the Commanding Officer of the Lynn Air Training Corps (ATC) Squadron, was pleased to present each charity with a cheque for £750. On hand to receive their donations were Squadron Leader (Retired) Bob Sinclair, Vice President of the King’s Lynn & District Branch of RAFA, Mary Dunn on behalf of EAAA, and Mike Lister the civilian committee chairman of 42F Squadron ATC. Unfortunately a representative from Walking With the Wounded was unavailable for the formal presentation.
