2195 Cadets Spend the Day Perfecting Their Target Shooting

On Saturday 6th February, five cadets from 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron ATC took part in target shooting practice at 504 (West Nottingham) Squadron ATC.
Half of the cadets had never taken part in anything like this before; it was a completely new experience for many of them.

2195 Shooting Day 2
They were looking forward to this but there were a few nerves due to their inexperience.
For the first two hours they had a briefing about how the rifles were to be handled and how to use them safely. The objective of this was to try and get a marksman in target shooting and improve their target shooting skills ready for the big competition, Wing Field Day.
Over the course of the day all the cadets tried their best to display their abilities with target shooting.
Cadet Sergeant Nicole Walker said “The hard work spent practising on the rifles produced great results on the targets!”
