The Sportsmen and women of the Region battled hard against the cream of the Corps to notch up more success in the Corps Open Netball and Senior Rugby Championships.

The Region’s young ladies outclassed and out played the opposition in the Gymnasium at RAF Cranwell running out clear winners to become the Corps Open Netball champions.
It was with tremendous pride and the satisfaction of a team job well done that they collected the Trophy from the Commandant Air Cadets, Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty.
At the same time, the Senior Rugby squad fought not only the other Region teams but also a strong and unpredictable wind,

A somewhat below standard performance in he morning saw the team having to fight in a play off for third place. Eventually getting their game together, the team trounced the opposition, Wales and West, to finish the day a very creditable third.
