Tuesday 6th October saw two air cadets promoted to the rank of Cadet Corporal. Cadet’s Gallacher and Clark were promoted at the same time by the Squadron’s Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Simon Jennings.
Cadet Corporal(Cpl) Lydia Clark joined the Air Cadets in September 2013 and she is now a senior member of the Squadron (Sqn). She recently successfully completed her Junior Non Commissioned Officer (JNCO) course and since then she has developed into an outstanding cadet. Cpl Clark has supported the Sqn in many events over the summer and she has played a key part in the Sqn’s collections at Sainsbury’s.
Cpl Kelly-Anne Gallacher joined the Air Cadets in October 2014 and she has flown since! She is now undergoing her senior cadet training, and she too has been a key member of the Sqn in 2015. Cpl Gallacher also attended a JNCO course earlier this year and she came away with a distinction pass.
Flight Lieutenant Simon Jennings, Officer Commanding the Castle Bromwich Sqn commented “The Sqn’s staff had no hesitation in recommending Cpl Clark and Cpl Gallacher for promotion. Both are key members of the Sqn and both deserve their promotion. As the Sqn grows we will be making further promotions in the near future, those cadets who think they should be promoted really need to step up to the plate over the coming months”.
