Sixteen New Air Cadets for Grantham Squadron

Last week Grantham Air Cadet Squadron, 47F, graduated sixteen new cadets into the squadron after they had finished their eighteen week training programme.

Officer Commanding 47F, Flight Lieutenant Paul James, said; “It is great to see the latest recruit flight graduate and a great honour that Air Marshall Sir Baz North KCB OBE FRAeS RAF, Air Member for Personnel & Capability, was our reviewing officer. Air Marshall North is highest ranking officer to visit the Squadron and it was a real pleasure to meet him, he spent a lot of time talking to cadets and parefs M Stewart 47f grad wuth amp aug 15nts. It was a pleasure to also have the Mayor of Grantham, Jacky Smith, and Chairman of SKDC, Ray Wootten, attend the graduation. These sixteen cadets can now take part in all the activities the Air Cadet Organisation has to offer and four of them will be flying at RAF Cranwell this weekend.”

The Squadron’s Flight Sergeant Matt Stewart met Air Marshall North at the graduation and was pleased to be recently promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer. Matt Stewart served with the RLC in the Army for 25 years before joining 47F and will take up post as Squadron Warrant Officer.
