204 (City of Lincoln) Squadron, Air Cadets, today hosted 11 children from Belarus as part of the Friend of Chernobyl Children organisation .
The children aged 10-13 years were treated to a fun packed day at the Squadron Headquarters on Burton Road. Lincoln.
The rain showers didn’t dampen spirits and they flew in the squadron hovercraft, had an archery fun session and then had a barbecue.
In the afternoon some more fun was had visiting 160 Brigade Royal Logistics Corps and having a tour of the different vehicles before receiving some gifts from the cadets and staff of the squadron.
Flight Lieutenant Ivan Murfin RAFVR(T), Officer Commanding 204 squadron said; “it had been a pleasure welcoming such an appreciative group of youngsters and their support staff to Lincoln. The smiles on happy faces makes it all worthwhile, I would also like to thank my staff and cadets that came along to make the day possible”
