Eighteen Air Cadets from 1109 (Thetford) Squadron, Air Training Corps, gave up their weekend over the 13th and 14th June to lend a hand at the Hockwold Country Fair in Norfolk.
The show had exhibitors attend from all different expertise from steam engines and local crafts, to fitness workshops and taster sessions provided by ‘Go Ape’ from High Lodge.
The cadets provided assistance with car parking, marshalling and stewarding around the main arena as well as helping run a fundraising stall with the squadrons’ Civilian Committee. The event is another of 1109’s many fundraisers throughout the year with the cadets always keen to give up their spare time to help within the community.
The cadets were praised by the event organisers and members of the public and credited for their hard work and enthusiasm over the weekend.
The squadron will be assisting at a further event in Hockwold in July.
