Bury 301 Squadron at the Glorious South Suffolk Show 2015!

There was a good turnout of Air Cadets from 301 (Bury St Edmunds) Squadron, Air Training Corps, on Sunday 10th May 2015 at The South Suffolk Show in Ampton.

All of whom helped eSouth Suffolk Show 2015nthusiastically with parking the estimated 10,000-12,000 people who came to the show in such large numbers due to the country character of the show and increased by the favouring weather that day.

Needless to say the squadron’s help with organising the car parking was clearly necessary as it was very busy, with large numbers of the public arrived during the morning. Despite the workload everyone’s spirits were up at all times and the cadets help was well received by the visiting public who all had a kind word for the cadets in return.

All cadets were feeling part of the community by helping to make what turned out to be a perfect day out for everyone!

The squadron would like to say a sincere “thank you” to the public who donated generously and kindly to 301 Squadron who were collecting at the exit of the parking area. They would also like to express their thanks to the organisers of the South Suffolk Show, donating a generous cheque raising the total amount of donations to a fantastic £845.

Even though the cadets went all home tired, they all thoroughly enjoyed helping their local community and it was great to hear such positive feedback from the public.
