The RAF Wyton Gymnasium was the setting for the excitement of the Central & East Region Junior Girls Netball Championships which saw the cadets of Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing carry away the silverware.
All the matches were played in a fast and furious manner with thrilling end to end performances that gave those watching plenty of entertainment.
The winners were chased all the way with skilful, competitive and enthusiastic games played by the cadets of all the teams.
South & East Midlands Wing ended the day as worthy runners up and Trent Wing a close third.
A very happy looking Wing Commander Stuart Iles, Officer Commanding Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing, was on hand to present all the medals to the third placed and runner up teams and the overall winners trophy to the team from his own wing.
An excellent competition extremely well organised by the Region Sports Officer, Squadron Leader Michelle Worsnop, and her very able team. With thanks, of course, to the Station Commander at RAF Wyton and staff at the Station Gymnasium.
